Wow, I can almost smell the musty, weathered wood ... brings back memories. Several years ago I did the same thing on my land here in Ohio. Our house was originally built around 1860 and after renovating the house, we decided to demolish the barn. It's a long, tedious and as you are finding out, dirty job. Anxious to see if you find any wooden pegs used as nails for the big beams.

wow, that must have been lots of fun to shower off. Watching the dirt pool around your feet as it runs off your skin... at least I hope you washed yourself after all that hard work!

Now there's some real work being done. Would have loved to have been in on that. Nothing feels better at the end of a day knowing your tired from the effort put in. Kudos to the three of you.

My first job was collecting medical records of ship workers refitting WW II ships which consisted of ripping asbestos off the pipes unmasked. Most of the workers smoked unfiltered Lucky Strikes and described the scene as a snowstorm of asbestos. Usually slow death by mesothelioma. Nice to see you wearing masks because I probably wouldn't, stupidity like not wearing a bike helmet.
